Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is expanding its artificial intelligence offerings by integrating Grok 3, the latest AI model from Elon Musk’s xAI, into its lineup of enterprise-ready tools. Announced on Tuesday, the move allows corporate clients to access and deploy Grok 3 within Oracle’s secure cloud environment.
What Is Grok 3?
Launched in February 2025, Grok 3 is xAI’s newest large language model designed to compete with models from DeepSeek, OpenAI, and others. Originally made available to premium users of Musk’s X platform (formerly Twitter) and through xAI’s own channels, Grok 3 is now taking a significant leap into the enterprise space via Oracle.
Enterprise Integration via Oracle Cloud
Through this partnership, Oracle aims to make Grok 3 accessible to enterprise customers that require strict data privacy and security. According to Karan Batta, Senior Vice President at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the model will be hosted within Oracle’s data centres, allowing businesses to leverage powerful generative AI tools while maintaining compliance and control over sensitive data.
“Our goal here is to make sure that we can provide a portfolio of models; we don’t have our own,” said Batta. “That’s the current strategy. We are going to be the one that offers all of them.”
Oracle’s Expanding AI Model Portfolio
In addition to Grok 3, Oracle already supports AI models from Meta, Mistral (a French startup), and Cohere, offering companies a wide range of LLMs (large language models) to suit their unique needs. Oracle’s multi-model strategy aligns with growing demand from businesses seeking flexible, interoperable AI tools for use across enterprise software, data analysis, and automation.
Why This Matters for Businesses
This development makes Oracle Cloud a more versatile AI platform for corporate users, especially those looking for alternatives to single-vendor ecosystems. By adding Grok 3 to its portfolio, Oracle is appealing to organizations that need:
- Secure, enterprise-grade deployment of LLMs
- Custom AI integration into existing software workflows
- Access to cutting-edge models without vendor lock-in
Oracle’s partnership with xAI to deliver Grok 3 marks a pivotal moment in the enterprise AI landscape, further intensifying competition among cloud providers like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud. With its “bring-all-models” strategy, Oracle positions itself as a neutral AI marketplace for enterprise clients seeking diverse, scalable AI solutions.
