FRSC Unveils Redesigned Website to Improve Road Safety Services in Nigeria

FRSC Launches Redesigned Website to Boost Service Delivery Nationwide

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially launched a newly redesigned website aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing user experience for Nigerians and road users globally.

The announcement was made in Abuja on Monday through a statement by the FRSC Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Olusegun Ogungbemide.

Why FRSC Redesigned Its Official Website

According to Ogungbemide, the website overhaul is part of the Corps’ strategic efforts to:

  • Align with modern digital trends
  • Deliver faster, more secure, and more user-friendly services
  • Provide seamless access to credible road safety information

“The new look speaks volumes of a highly modernised, user-friendly, and informative digital platform tailored to meet the evolving needs of Nigerians and all road users,” Ogungbemide said.

The revamped platform is now live at: www.frsc.gov.ng

Key Features of the FRSC’s New Website

  • Sleek, modern interface
  • Faster load times and improved security
  • Easy navigation with logically structured information
  • Access to road safety administration and traffic regulation services

The new website is described as a one-stop digital hub for motorists, pedestrians, researchers, and media professionals seeking road safety resources in Nigeria.

Commitment to Digital Innovation

FRSC Corps Marshal Malam Shehu Mohammed reaffirmed the Corps’ dedication to embracing digital solutions:

“This newly redesigned website reflects our mission to save lives, enhance road safety awareness, and deliver world-class public service,” Mohammed said.

He called on individuals, businesses, NGOs, and civil society organisations to utilise the platform for stress-free access to vital road safety information.

Nigeria’s Best-Ranked MDA Website

Ogungbemide recalled that in 2023, the FRSC website was ranked number one among 315 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in Nigeria.

The ranking was part of the Federal Government’s website ranking exercise conducted by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

Other FRSC Innovations and Crackdowns

In addition to the website upgrade, the FRSC has been actively modernising other service areas:

  • Driver’s Licence Printing Farm:
    • In February 2025, the FRSC inaugurated a mini driver’s licence printing facility in Lagos capable of producing 9,000 licences in six hours.
    • This initiative addresses the backlog of over 270,000 unprocessed applications.
  • Fake Number Plate Crackdown:
    • Between January and February 2025, the FRSC arrested 7,798 individuals for using fake vehicle number plates.
    • This campaign is part of efforts to combat vehicle identity fraud and enhance national security.

Why It Matters

With digital transformation becoming central to public service, the FRSC’s redesigned website helps:

  • Improve compliance with road safety regulations
  • Make accessing services like licence applications and safety guidelines faster and easier
  • Foster transparency and trust in Nigeria’s traffic management systems
