Google Launches Nano Banana Pro on Gemini 3 to Boost a New Wave of AI Creators in Nigeria

Google has introduced Nano Banana Pro, a next-generation image generation and editing model powered by Gemini 3 Pro, designed to give users unrivalled control and precision when creating visuals. The new model allows Nigerians, from students to designers to content creators, to generate clearer images, craft infographics, design posters, and manipulate photos with significantly improved accuracy.

The company says Nano Banana Pro is built to overcome the limitations of earlier AI image tools, especially when it comes to producing sharp, readable text and handling complex design scenes.

Sharper Text, Smarter Imagery Powered by Google Search

One of Nano Banana Pro’s most notable upgrades is its ability to produce visuals that draw from real, up-to-date information. Since it is connected to Google’s search knowledge base, the model can create diagrams, recipes, sports visualisations, and educational content with factual accuracy.

Google also highlights major improvements in text generation inside images, a feature many AI systems still struggle with. This makes the model ideal for creating:

  • Banner designs
  • Social media graphics
  • School projects
  • Ad mockups
  • Business presentations

Typography now appears more legible, sharper, and consistent across designs.

Support for Up to 14 Reference Images

For creators working on complex scenes, Nano Banana Pro supports up to 14 reference photos in a single prompt, enabling users to maintain character or branding consistency across multiple visuals.

This is particularly useful for Nigerians:

  • Content creators building character-driven content
  • Small businesses producing product visuals
  • Designers managing themed campaigns
  • Brands maintaining identity across digital assets

Advanced Editing: Angles, Lighting, Focus, and 4K Output

The new model provides studio-grade editing controls traditionally found in professional software. Users can now:

  • Adjust camera angles
  • Change the lighting from day to night
  • Refine depth of field
  • Enhance or soften focus
  • Export final work in 2K or 4K resolution

For creators who rely heavily on mobile phones, these features deliver high-quality output without the need for heavy editing applications.

AI Verification Tools and Expanded Access

To strengthen image authenticity, Google has added an image verification feature inside the Gemini app. Users can upload any image and ask whether it was generated by Google AI, thanks to an invisible SynthID watermark embedded in all AI-generated outputs.

Google also confirmed that Ultra-tier subscribers will no longer see the visible Gemini watermark on their images, though the invisible watermark remains in place.

Available Globally, Fully Accessible in Nigeria

Nano Banana Pro is now rolling out worldwide. Nigerian users can access it through:

  • The Gemini app (under the “Thinking” model)
  • Google Ads
  • Google Slides
  • Google Vids
  • The Gemini API
  • Vertex AI

The launch comes at a time when AI adoption in Nigeria is surging. Google reports a significant rise in searches for AI for studying” and “AI for graphic design,” indicating growing interest among students, creatives, and professionals.
