Huawei and AASTMT Partner to Strengthen Egypt’s Digital Future

Huawei Egypt, in partnership with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), has launched the Huawei ICT Academy Support Center (IASC). The new center is a major milestone in Egypt’s journey toward digital transformation, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 to empower youth and build a sustainable knowledge-driven economy.

The IASC will:

  • Support the operation of existing Huawei ICT Academies in Egypt
  • Facilitate the establishment of new academies

During the panel discussion, Eng. Medhat Mahmoud, Chief Digital Transformation for Northern Africa at Huawei Enterprise Business Group, highlighted the critical role of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming industries such as:

He stressed the need to localize AI solutions to reflect regional culture and values while outlining Huawei’s three-pillar approach to digital transformation in Egypt:
