INGRYD Partners with ISACA to Certify 40,000 Nigerian Youths in Globally Recognised Tech Skills

INGRYD Academy Launches 5-Year Tech Training Program to Empower 40,000 Nigerian Youths

In a bold move to combat Nigeria’s digital skills crisis, INGRYD Academy has partnered with ISACA, a global leader in IT governance and certification, to train and certify 40,000 Nigerian youths in high-demand tech skills over the next five years.

Over 80% of Nigerian Tech Talents Lack Certification – INGRYD

According to Khadijat Abdulkadir, Founder and CEO of INGRYD Academy, over 80% of Nigerian tech talents lack access to proper training and professional certification, which significantly hampers their global employability.

“The major challenge isn’t that they are not good or trained. The problem is the absence of proper certification,” Abdulkadir said during a press conference in Lagos.

To address this, the academy launched a partial scholarship initiative, drastically reducing the cost of ISACA-accredited certifications by over 70%, bringing the price down to $250 per candidate.

What the INGRYD-ISACA Tech Training Covers

The program will offer world-class training in:

  • Full-Stack Software Engineering
  • Data Science (Python & R)
  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Cybersecurity & DevSecOps
  • Blockchain & Cloud Computing
  • IoT (Internet of Things)
  • Agile Product Management
  • IT Solution Sales & Data Analysis

Each course will span 3 to 6 months, feature daily instructor-led sessions, and include live mentorship from certified professionals.

Global Job Access: Certification in 190 Countries

Graduates of the INGRYD-ISACA training initiative will gain access to job opportunities in over 190 countries. Additionally, students will enjoy one-year free ISACA global membership, opening doors to a network of 85,000+ professionals worldwide.

“This is a major opportunity for Nigerian youth to become export-ready digital talents,” Abdulkadir added.

Addressing Barriers to Global Job Placement

While Nigeria boasts a growing tech ecosystem, the CEO noted that visa restrictions and high certification costs hinder access to global opportunities.

INGRYD Academy aims to solve this by offering:

  • Training and certification
  • Job placement support
  • Visa process assistance
  • Global employer connections through its presence in the U.S., Europe, and Africa

“Remote jobs are not as accessible as they seem due to biases and costs. We provide a full ecosystem to make global job placement possible,” she said.

Driving Local Talent Development and Reducing Import of Foreign Workers

Abdulkadir criticised the reliance on foreign tech workers in multinational companies operating in Nigeria, including the Dangote Refinery and commercial banks, citing a lack of advanced certifications among local talent.

“Nigerians can fill these roles—if only they’re properly certified.”

Course Fees and Accessibility

The training programs will cost between 150,000 and ₦500,000, depending on the course, with instalment payment plans available. INGRYD aims to train at least 2,000 youths per quarter as part of this 5-year program.

INGRYD’s Impact So Far

  • Over 8,000 trained since inception
  • Thousands of applications processed yearly
  • Currently 37% job placement rate, to hit 70%

More Global Partnerships Ahead

In addition to its ISACA collaboration, INGRYD is now a certified partner with CheckPoint, a global cybersecurity leader, and plans to expand its partnership network in the coming months.

A Scalable Solution to Nigeria’s Youth Unemployment

With Nigeria facing a rising youth unemployment rate despite increasing demand for digital skills, the INGRYD-ISACA initiative offers a realistic pathway out of joblessness.

“This isn’t charity. It’s a deliberate strategy to build a globally competitive, export-ready digital workforce,” Abdulkadir concluded.
