Samsung Galaxy Buds Controls Relocate to One UI Settings in Latest Galaxy Wearable Update

Samsung is making it easier to manage your Galaxy Buds settings by relocating key controls from the Galaxy Wearable app to the One UI settings menu. The latest update simplifies how users access features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), touch controls, and firmware updates.

Galaxy Buds Settings Moved to One UI in Galaxy Wearable App Update

The Galaxy Wearable app version 2.2.63.25060561 brings a notable change: Galaxy Buds controls are no longer accessible within the Wearable app. Instead, users will now find these settings under their phone’s main Bluetooth settings in One UI.

 What’s Moving:

  • ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) toggles
  • Touch control customisation
  • Firmware updates
  • Sound EQ adjustments

Samsung is taking a page out of Google’s playbook by integrating earbuds settings directly into the phone’s OS, similar to how Pixel Buds settings are managed on Pixel devices.

New Galaxy Buds Settings Location: Bluetooth Settings in One UI

Samsung Galaxy phone users can now manage their Buds via:

Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > Galaxy Buds > Earbuds Settings

This new streamlined approach removes the need to open a separate app, giving users quicker access to audio and control settings.

What This Means for Galaxy Buds Users

With this update:

  • The Galaxy Wearable app will no longer show Galaxy Buds settings
  • The app will focus solely on Galaxy Watch devices
  • All Galaxy Buds models appear to be affected by this change

For users on non-Samsung phones, the Galaxy Wearable app may still be required for full Galaxy Buds customisation, similar to how Pixel Buds settings behave outside of Pixel devices.

New Location for Sound EQ and Quick Settings Access

In addition to relocating ANC and touch settings, Sound EQ controls are also moving into One UI. This update potentially makes way for Quick Settings toggles, allowing fast access to features like

  • Noise cancellation
  • Ambient sound mode
  • Battery info

Samsung hasn’t confirmed whether a redesign is coming, but the shift hints at tighter integration between One UI and Galaxy Buds controls in future software updates.

How to Get the Update

The new features are included in Galaxy Wearable app update 2.2.63.25060561, which is now available globally via the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store. Make sure your app is up to date to access the new settings placement.

One UI Gets Smarter for Galaxy Buds Users

Samsung is improving the user experience by moving Galaxy Buds settings to the One UI system settings, making it faster and easier to manage your earbuds. This change is part of Samsung’s broader effort to streamline device management, following similar strategies used by Google for Pixel Buds.
