Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Launches With Bigger Battery; Tecno Unveils Ultra-Slim Spark Slim and Pova Slim

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Goes Official

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is now official, making headlines in week 36 as one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of the year.

Powered by the 4nm Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage, the device continues Samsung’s tradition of performance and efficiency. While the SoC remains mostly unchanged, Samsung introduced a 10% larger vapour chamber for improved cooling.

Another highlight is the bigger 4,900mAh battery, ensuring longer screen time. Despite this upgrade, the phone maintains a sleek 7.4mm thickness and is now lighter at 190 grams, approximately 23g less than its predecessor.

The Galaxy S25 FE comes in four colours: Icy Blue, Jetblack, Navy, and White. Pricing starts at:

  • €749 ($875) for 8GB/128GB
  • €809 ($945) for 8GB/256GB
  • €929 ($1084) for 8GB/512GB

Tecno Spark Slim and Pova Slim Unveiled

In the same week, Tecno introduced two cutting-edge ultra-slim smartphones, the Spark Slim and Pova Slim. Both models measure under 6mm in thickness (5.93mm and 5.95mm,  respectively), making them among the thinnest smartphones on the market.

Key features include:

  • Curved AMOLED displays
  • Lightweight builds (~156g)
  • 5,160mAh battery using Tecno’s innovative “Honeycomb” stacking design

The major difference lies in performance:

  • Tecno Spark Slim runs on a Helio G200 chipset (no 5G).
  • Tecno Pova Slim is powered by the Dimensity 6400 chip with 5G support, and also features a stylish Mood Light LED bar for notifications.

Final Thoughts

With Samsung focusing on power and design efficiency in the Galaxy S25 FE, and Tecno pushing the boundaries of slimness with the Spark Slim and Pova Slim, week 36 marked a major shake-up in the global smartphone market.
