Temu Partners with Dellyman to Boost Delivery Speed and Customer Trust in Nigeria

Temu Partners with Dellyman to Improve Delivery Time and Strengthen Customer Trust in Nigeria

Temu has officially partnered with Dellyman, a Lagos-based logistics startup, to support its large-scale e-commerce operations across Nigeria. The strategic collaboration aims to reduce delivery times and enhance customer trust in cross-border e-commerce markets.

The move marks a key milestone for Temu as it seeks to expand its presence in Nigeria’s growing e-commerce sector, competing with established players like Jumia. The partnership is designed to provide faster delivery experiences for Temu’s customers nationwide.

Pilot Test Demonstrates Readiness for Large-Scale Operations

Before the official partnership, both companies conducted a pilot test, during which Dellyman achieved a 95% delivery success rate. This performance demonstrated the startup’s readiness to handle high-volume e-commerce operations across Nigeria.

Dare Ojo-Bello, Founder and CEO of Dellyman, told Technext that the collaboration underscores the company’s operational excellence and its goal to build a reliable and transparent delivery infrastructure in Nigeria.

“Achieving a 95% delivery success rate during the Temu pilot underscores our readiness to support high-volume e-commerce platforms. This collaboration shows that local startups can meet and exceed global standards when given the opportunity,” Ojo-Bello said.

Dellyman’s Technology-Driven Logistics Model

Founded in 2020, Dellyman leverages a tech-driven logistics model that integrates rider management, customer visibility, and satisfaction tools. The platform aggregates multiple logistics service providers to enable same-day delivery, matching customers with nearby riders through its app, similar to the Uber model.

Ojo-Bello explained:

“When you place an order, you tell us where you want it picked up from. Our app will find riders close to your pickup area, ensuring fast and efficient delivery.”

The company continues to invest in expanding capacity and enhancing merchant-facing tools, aiming to deliver a superior experience for Temu customers and other online shoppers nationwide.

Dellyman’s Growth and Impact in Nigerian E-Commerce

Dellyman has steadily grown in Nigeria’s logistics market, recently reaching a milestone of 10,000 monthly orders in November 2025, contributing to over 300,000 cumulative deliveries. Its track record positioned it as a natural partner for Temu’s expansion.

The Nigerian e-commerce market is projected to grow from $8.53 billion in 2024 to over $14.92 billion by 2029, driven by high internet penetration, mobile-first shopping, and the rise of “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) options.

The partnership with Temu also positions Dellyman as a preferred logistics partner for other international retailers looking to enter Nigeria’s e-commerce landscape.

Strategic Benefits for Temu and Nigerian Consumers

By teaming up with Dellyman, Temu aims to:

  • Enhance delivery efficiency and shorten delivery times.
  • Strengthen customer trust through reliable service.
  • Support sustainable growth and increased order volumes.
  • Provide transparent, tech-driven logistics solutions for both SMEs and individual customers.

The collaboration underscores the growing role of local tech-driven logistics startups in supporting e-commerce expansion and improving delivery experiences in Nigeria.
