X Suffers Global Outage as Cloudflare Network Failure Hits Thousands of Users

X Down for Thousands of Users Amid Cloudflare’s Global Network Outage

Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is facing a widespread outage, with thousands of users around the world unable to load posts or refresh their timelines. Reports indicate that the issue is linked to a major global disruption affecting Cloudflare, a leading web security and content delivery network provider.

X Users Report “Posts Aren’t Loading” Errors

The outage began around 11 a.m., according to data from Downdetector, which recorded nearly 12,000 problem reports within minutes. Both the mobile app and the web version of X displayed the error message: “Posts aren’t loading right now.”

The platform has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.

Cloudflare Confirms Global Issue Affecting Multiple Services

Reports suggest the outage is tied to a large-scale issue originating from Cloudflare, whose services help power much of the internet, including major apps, websites, and APIs.

Cloudflare confirmed that it is experiencing problems within its global network, stating:

“Cloudflare is aware of and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers. Further details will be provided as more information becomes available.”

The company added that both the Cloudflare dashboard and its API services were failing for some users. Engineers are currently working to restore stability.

Downdetector itself was briefly affected during the disruption, further indicating the scale of Cloudflare’s outage.

Part of a Growing Trend of Global Infrastructure Failures

This incident comes just weeks after a major AWS outage in October, which interrupted services across popular platforms such as Grammarly, Snapchat, and Reddit. The recurring failures highlight the growing dependence on large cloud and CDN providers—and the cascading effects when they experience technical problems.
