MultiChoice Nigeria Names Kemi Omotosho as New CEO
Leading pay-TV operator MultiChoice Nigeria has announced the appointment of Kemi Omotosho as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with the role set to take effect from January 2026.
Omotosho will succeed John Ugbe, who is retiring after nearly 15 years of service at the company.
The announcement was made in a company statement released on Monday, noting that the leadership change follows a structured succession and transition process designed to ensure continuity and operational stability.

According to the company, John Ugbe’s exit marks the end of a long tenure during which he guided MultiChoice Nigeria through major industry transformations and shifting market dynamics.

MultiChoice described the transition as part of a planned leadership succession aimed at maintaining momentum while preparing the business for its next growth phase.
Kemi Omotosho Brings Over Two Decades of Industry Experience
Kemi Omotosho brings more than 20 years of experience spanning media, telecommunications, and digital businesses across Africa.
She joined MultiChoice in 2014 and has since held several senior leadership roles, including:
- Executive Head of Customer Value Management
- Group Executive Head of Customer Value Management for the rest of Africa
- Regional Director for Southern Africa
As Regional Director, Omotosho led operations and strategic initiatives across multiple Southern African markets, strengthening customer engagement and operational performance.
