Samsung Ends Software Support for These Four Phones
Samsung, known for offering some of the longest software support in the Android ecosystem, has officially ended update support for four of its mid-range devices, the Galaxy A03s, Galaxy A52s, Galaxy F42 5G, and Galaxy M32 5G.
While these smartphones had already stopped receiving major Android OS upgrades, Samsung had continued to provide regular security patches. However, as of October 2025, the company has discontinued all software and security updates for these models.
End of an Era for 2021 Galaxy Models
Samsung launched these devices between August and September 2021, promising up to four years of security updates. The company has now fulfilled that commitment, officially concluding support as scheduled.
This means users of the Galaxy A03s, A52s, F42 5G, and M32 5G will no longer receive new patches or vulnerability fixes, leaving their devices potentially exposed to future security risks.
What Users Should Do Next
If you own any of these devices, now may be the right time to upgrade. Samsung’s latest mid-range lineup offers improved performance, longer software support, and enhanced AI-powered features.
Here are the recommended successors for each model:
- Galaxy A03s → Galaxy A07
- Galaxy F42 5G → Galaxy F56
- Galaxy M32 5G → Galaxy M36
- Galaxy A52s → Galaxy A56
These newer models come with One UI 7, Android 15, and Samsung’s five-year security update promise, ensuring a longer, more secure lifespan.
Samsung’s Commitment to Longevity
Despite ending support for these four phones, Samsung remains a leader in long-term software support among Android manufacturers. Many of its flagship and mid-range devices now receive up to seven years of updates, setting a new standard in the Android market.
By maintaining consistent update schedules, Samsung continues to build user trust while encouraging smooth transitions to newer, more capable devices.
