Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Review: Slimmer, Stronger, and Smarter Than Ever

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 flagship series made its global debut at IFA 2025 in Berlin, introducing two models — the 11-inch Galaxy Tab S11 and the 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Today, we take a closer look at the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Samsung’s most premium tablet yet, blending cutting-edge performance with ultra-sleek design and top-tier durability.

Design and Build: Sleek, Strong, and Ultra-Thin

“Thin and powerful” best describes the new Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Samsung has managed to make this tablet even slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, the Tab S10 Ultra, while maintaining the brand’s signature premium feel.

Encased in enhanced Armour Aluminium, the device boasts drop, dust, and water resistance with an IP68 rating — a rare feature in the tablet market. Despite its large form factor, the S11 Ultra feels surprisingly portable and durable enough for on-the-go professionals.

Display: A 14.6-inch Visual Powerhouse

At the heart of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The screen delivers vivid colours, deep blacks, and ultra-smooth visuals, making it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and creative work.

The front notch is now smaller than the one on the Tab S10 Ultra, thanks to Samsung’s decision to use a single 12MP ultrawide selfie camera instead of the dual setup from last year. While we might argue that the notch could have been eliminated entirely, the slimmer cutout is certainly an improvement.

Performance: Powered by Dimensity 9400+

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra packs the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, a powerful chipset that outperforms its predecessor, the 9300+ used in the Tab S10 Ultra. The 9400+ ranks among the fastest Android chips currently available, delivering exceptional multitasking, gaming, and productivity performance.

The tablet comes in multiple configurations, from 12GB RAM with 256GB storage up to 16GB RAM with 1TB storage, ensuring ample space and speed for demanding users.

Battery and Charging: Big Power, Fast Refills

Samsung has slightly boosted the battery capacity to 11,600mAh, offering excellent endurance for streaming, note-taking, or creative workflows. The tablet supports 45W fast charging, allowing for a quick top-up when you’re in a hurry.

Connectivity remains top-tier with optional 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, GPS, and USB-C 3.2, ensuring seamless performance across networks and accessories.

Cameras: Small Adjustments, Same Results

On the rear, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra retains the 13MP main camera and 8MP ultrawide shooter from the previous model. While the hardware remains unchanged, Samsung’s AI-assisted image processing and enhanced One UI 8 software help deliver sharper and more balanced results.

The single 12MP ultrawide front camera replaces last year’s dual setup, a smart move that improves design aesthetics without compromising video call quality.

Software and AI Features

The tablet ships with Android 16 and One UI 8, featuring deep integration with Google AI and Samsung’s S Pen tools. Users can expect smarter productivity enhancements like note summarisation, live translation, and AI drawing suggestions.

Samsung continues to refine its DeX mode, offering a desktop-like interface for users who want to turn their tablet into a full productivity workstation.

Verdict: A Refined Powerhouse for Professionals and Creators

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra cements Samsung’s dominance in the Android tablet market. It’s sleeker, faster, and more capable than ever. It is  perfect for professionals, artists, and tech enthusiasts who demand premium performance in a portable form.

While the notch could still vanish entirely, the S11 Ultra’s improvements in performance, design, and display quality make it one of the best Android tablets of 2025.
