Samsung W26 Launches in China as the Premium Variant of the Galaxy Z Fold7
Samsung has officially launched the W26, a China-exclusive foldable smartphone that builds on the design of the Galaxy Z Fold7. As part of Samsung’s luxury W-series lineup, the W26 offers refined aesthetics, exclusive features, and premium packaging tailored for the Chinese market.
Premium Design and Packaging
Just like previous W-series releases, the Samsung W26 stands out with minor cosmetic upgrades and a more luxurious unboxing experience. Each package includes a colour-matched Kevlar protective case, a 25W charger, a USB-C cable, and a CNY 1,000 gift card, making it a step above the standard Z Fold7 in presentation and accessories.
Satellite Connectivity via Tiantong System
One of the biggest highlights of the W26 is satellite communication support. The device integrates with China’s Tiantong satellite system, allowing users to make calls and send messages even in areas without mobile network coverage — a feature tailored specifically for China’s market and remote users.
High-End Performance and Configurations
Under the hood, the Samsung W26 mirrors much of the Z Fold7’s internal hardware, but with one key improvement: 16GB of RAM as standard. Buyers can choose between 512GB and 1TB storage options, ensuring plenty of room for multitasking and media.
Price and Availability
The Samsung W26 starts at CNY 16,999 ($2,390) for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version, while the top-tier 16GB + 1TB model costs CNY 18,999 ($2,670).
The device is available for pre-order through Samsung’s official store and China Telecom, with deliveries expected to begin soon.
A Luxury Foldable for the Chinese Market
The W26 continues Samsung’s tradition of offering China-exclusive luxury smartphones under the W-series, combining cutting-edge foldable technology with exclusivity and craftsmanship. With its satellite connectivity, generous RAM, and premium extras, the W26 stands as a refined alternative to the Galaxy Z Fold7 for discerning users in China.
