Africa’s technology ecosystem is set for a major gathering as innovators, investors, and industry leaders converge in Lagos for Tech Unite Africa 5.0, a pan-African technology conference scheduled for March 26, 2026.

The event will take place at the Oriental Hotel and is expected to feature a wide range of activities including Startup World Cup Nigeria, the Tech Innovation Recognition and Awards (TIRA), panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and a networking experience known as Tech Unite After Dark.

Spotlight on startups and global opportunities

A key highlight of the conference will be the Nigeria edition of the Startup World Cup, where selected startups will pitch their ideas for a chance to represent the country at the global finals in San Francisco.

The winning startup will compete for a potential $1 million investment prize, while gaining international exposure, mentorship, and access to global funding networks.

Organisers say the initiative is designed to help African startups connect with investors and scale their innovations beyond the continent.

Exhibition and industry collaboration

The conference will also feature the Tech Business Nexus Exhibition Floor, providing a platform for startups, technology firms, corporate organisations, and investors to showcase solutions and build strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating digital transformation across Africa.

In addition, the Tech Innovation Recognition and Awards (TIRA) will celebrate founders, high-growth startups, corporate innovators, and ecosystem leaders who are making significant contributions to technology development across the continent.

The awards ceremony will take place during the Tech Unite After Dark segment, which blends networking, entertainment, and curated engagements for industry professionals.

Driving Africa’s digital future

Project Manager Jidenna Iwuno said the event is designed to bridge the gap between African talent and global investment.

“Tech Unite Africa 5.0 connects African brilliance to global capital while celebrating those building the future,” he said.

Chief Executive Officer Queeneth Clinton also noted that the conference reflects the continent’s growing ambition in technology and innovation.

“Every pitch, award, and connection defines Africa’s tech future — ambitious, inclusive, and unstoppable,” she said.

Expected turnout

The organisers expect the conference to attract startup founders seeking funding, venture capitalists scouting high-growth ventures, corporate executives exploring innovation partnerships, and tech professionals looking to stay ahead in the evolving digital economy.

Tech Unite Africa is organised by T.U.A Events and is positioned as a major platform for strengthening collaboration and accelerating digital transformation across Africa’s rapidly expanding technology ecosystem.

Registration for the event is currently open through the organisers’ official website.
