Globacom has partnered with Samsung Electronics to unveil the new Samsung Galaxy S26 series in Nigeria, opening an exclusive pre-order window for customers on the Glo network.

The launch event, held at Globacom’s corporate headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together telecom industry stakeholders, technology enthusiasts, high-net-worth customers and members of the media to witness the introduction of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone to the Nigerian market.

As part of the launch offer, Globacom announced that customers who purchase the device at any Gloworld outlet nationwide will receive 18GB of free data under the Glo Smartphone Festival Data Plan. The data will be delivered as 3GB monthly for six months.

Buyers will also receive a Platinum Number eSIM, bundled with additional monthly data benefits.

Partnership to boost value for customers

Both companies said the collaboration is aimed at combining premium smartphone technology with enhanced connectivity incentives to provide greater value for Nigerian consumers.

Speaking at the event, Samsung’s Product Manager for Sellout Platinum, Solomon Osibeluwo, described Globacom as the first partner to host a masterclass session for the Galaxy S26 series, attributing the milestone to the long-standing partnership between the two companies.

According to him, the new device introduces features designed to improve users’ communication, productivity and digital experiences.

“The S26 series comes with amazing features that will enrich the calling and browsing experience of Nigerians, alongside several utility innovations,” Osibeluwo said.

Premium design and advanced technology

Samsung said the Galaxy S26 lineup features enhanced processing power, advanced camera capabilities, improved battery performance and AI-powered privacy protection.

The smartphone also incorporates a durable aluminium frame, immersive display technology and upgraded performance designed to support high-intensity mobile usage.

Additional devices and protection plans

During the event, Samsung also introduced the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 wireless earbuds, which come with improved audio performance and advanced noise-cancellation technology for clearer calls and better media playback in noisy environments.

The company further highlighted its Samsung Care+ protection programme, which provides subsidised repair coverage for registered devices within the first year, including protection against accidental damage.

Pre-orders begin nationwide

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 series opened immediately after the unveiling, with customers purchasing through Globacom eligible for promotional gifts, bundled accessories and prize offers.

Globacom’s Head of Gloworld, Mohamed Rabie, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to pairing innovative technology with practical benefits for its customers.

He encouraged Nigerians to visit Gloworld outlets across the country to experience the new smartphone and place pre-orders.

Both companies expressed confidence that the Galaxy S26 series would strengthen their footprint in Nigeria’s premium smartphone market while expanding access to cutting-edge mobile technology.
